When installed on a clean, hard surface, such as over existing tile, concrete, or linoleum, these tiles are thin enough that they don’t substantially raise the level of the floor, but they’re thick enough to make them resistant to wear and tear. Most peel-and-stick tiles contain vinyl, and while vinyl tile is not as durable as ceramic or porcelain tile, it offers a measure of resilience and flexibility.
